Learn to Knit at Fabulous Yarn (2-sessions)

Experience Level: Beginner, no experience required
Over 2 sessions, students will learn the basics of knitting including, casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and binding off. Lizz will also provide an overview of how to select yarns and needles and will get you familiar with common knitting tools and the basics of reading patterns.
This class is held over 2 separate sessions, two weeks apart.

Knitting 102 (1-session)

Experience Level: Basic skills needed; must be able to cast on, knit, purl and bind off
This class is for students who have recently learned to knit but want to begin following patterns and expanding their repertoire.
In this class, students will learn how to knit in the round, make increases and decreases, and will get a deep dive into following patterns. This class will give you the skills to begin making garments and accessories.

Intro to Color Work Knitting
Fabulous Yarn, Tivoli, New York
HART, Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Experience Level: Adventurous Beginner, must know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off
Have you been eyeing those intarsia and fair isle patterns but not sure where to start? During this class, students will produce a series of color work swatches, covering 2-color brioche, intarsia and common fair isle techniques. Lizz will also help you get familiar with reading charts (flat and in-the-round), get you started with holding yarns in both hands and will provide tips for managing and anchoring floats.
